Wrote this and straight forgot to post it! Will do better next month. Due to a non-recurring windfall things have changed this month as shown in the non-mortgage debt category. Credit card balances went up but that will hopefully be the last month of that for a while. Increase this month was mostly owing to a large collection of truly rare collectibles I picked up through ebay – so I was able to put that on a 0% deal through PayPal credit. Those are not for my sale business, and the 0% deal lets me spread that out over 12 months.

Mortgage debt continues its slow but steady march downward. It’s not flashy, but it’s nice to see that improvement even in challenging months (like the last 12 or so). Cash declined but that’s due to market changes in the speculative holdings in my brokerage account instead of wild spending. Net worth went down, but that’s not really shocking given spending levels the last few months. That will hopefully even out now as well.

Upcoming threat is the holidays and associated spending. Family moved to a different state, so that’s going to increase my spending going forward. We’ll see how that goes as I’ll need to change how much I budget for travel on a yearly basis.

October should be a good month – particularly if I’m able to get off my ass and do some sale listings in the RPG category. End of October is also when dividends land for NLY and CIM so that will be a nice infusion of cash in the retirement categories as that strategy starts to pay off. In any case, I’ll make sure to write this (and remember to post it) in a more timely manner. Have a great Halloween!
